Ahead of International Women’s Day, the UK Government launched gender pay gap data and menopause action plans. It was an honour to be in the room with Bridget Phillipson MP and the CEO of CMI, Ann Francke OBE, (both pictured with Lee above).
Government and businesses must work together to make workplaces fairer for women – and we welcome this action-based approach. Employers are being supported to choose two actions to improve workplace gender equality. One to close their gender pay gap and one to support employees experiencing menopause.
Understanding how menopause affects people at work means you can put support in place. Understanding the many factors that go into the gender pay gap means you can begin to close it. At Male Allies UK we run workshops and training in these areas and more, so it was a privilege to be in the room during the launch of these action plans.
